Most successful teams

Canada received the latest gold medal in 2021 and has now moved to the same level as Russia with twenty-seven gold medals. Both nations have been dominating ice hockey for a long time. But also attractive betting odds have the Czech Republic with twenty gold medals and Sweden with eleven gold medals.

The USA is quite underperforming in this department, this is because the tournament takes place during the NHL season and more importantly usually during the Stanley Cup playoffs, therefore most players are unavailable.
