Robert Whittaker 1.67 (-149) vs. Nikita Krylov 2.16 (+116)
The Stylistic Matchup: A former UFC champion begins his quest to become a two-division champion with a very beatable opponent.
Robert Whittaker was THE guy at middleweight for years. And yes, Israel Adesanya halted his title run, but even then, losses were few and far between. A technical kickboxing ability superior to 99% of the division has kept Whittaker on top, and now, a move to 205lbs could arguably give him added advantages, including speed and precision.
Of course, with the good comes the bad. Whittaker will be the smaller man in most of his light heavyweight bouts, and the knockout factor will be more of a concern. However, his durability has rarely been an issue, and with his lone losses coming against former champions and top-5-ranked contenders, life at 205 lbs should, at least, present him with some very winnable matchups.
In steps Nikita Krylov. A respected name in the weight class but not a name we align with the elite. Behind a 12-9 UFC record, the well-rounded Ukrainian hasn’t fared well inside the top-15 rankings, and even a clear size advantage might be too much to ask for here.
Whittaker vs. Krylov Prediction
While I understand the unknowns of a fighter moving up a division, we’re talking about ‘Bobby Knuckles’ here. He’s on the thicker side, so I don’t envision a strength issue, and with recent wins over Ikram Aliskerov, Paulo Costa, and Marvin Vettori, I struggle to give Krylov any advantages in this bout whatsoever.
Better still, the UFC odds are giving Krylov way too much respect. At 1.67, Whittaker is the no-brainer play in this spot. His takedown defense will keep this fight standing, as his sharper footwork and speedier hands are more than capable of putting Krylov’s lights out before the final third-round clapper.

Benoit Saint-Denis 1.67 (-149) vs. Paddy Pimblett 2.16 (+116)
The Stylistic Matchup: A BJJ ace and hard-chinned scouser goes to battle with France’s ‘God of War,’ a notable finishing machine.
Paddy Pimblett’s first UFC loss to Justin Gaethje has aged well. Gaethje went on to deliver a similar performance against Ilia Topuria, became the lightweight champion, and the rest is history.
With that said, I wouldn’t be quick to wager on a fighter with such a low-level striking offense. Instead, let’s put some respect on Paddy’s durability, a factor that can truly make the difference when attacking UFC totals.
The term “scousers don’t get knocked out,” made famous by ‘Paddy the Baddy’ himself, couldn’t be more true. It might not be wise to receive such punishment as he did in the Gaethje bout, but boy, can this Liverpudlian take a slap.
BSD vs. Pimblett Prediction
Historically, Benoit Saint-Denis has been a fast finisher, with several early stoppages to his name. Despite having a decent ground game, he’ll be eager to keep this fight standing and maintain a 100% finish rate in UFC wins.
That might be easier said than done. Paddy said himself that he didn’t stick to the game plan last time out. So, expect the Englishman to implement a BJJ-focussed game plan, whilst avoiding BSD and his head-hunting nature.
For UFC betting, the play feels obvious. Paddy has never been stopped, and BSD’s ITD losses always come late. So, the over 1 ½ rounds is in play here for our UFC 329 best bets.

Ryan Gandra (-125) vs. Zach Reese (+110)
The Stylistic Matchup: A 9-1 Brazilian prospect makes his debut versus a failed prospect in Zach Reese.
If you’re unfamiliar with Ryan Gandra’s game, he’s a forward pressure wrecking ball. There are multiple red flags for the debuting Brazilian regarding defense, yet Zach Reese isn’t the opponent we should be worried about upsetting the newcomer.
Reese isn’t horrific, by any means. Credible wrestling, decent jiu-jitsu, and some okayish kicks have seen him win 4 of his 7 UFC bouts. Unfortunately, he hasn’t done well under pressure and hasn’t shown much resistance to damage.
Gandra vs. Reese Prediction
For me, Gandra’s physicality and imposing pressure will be huge factors. Reese isn’t skilled enough in the wrestling department to keep this grounded for three rounds, so a fistfight will break out at some point.
Once combinations are coming in thick and fast, Reece will crumble. Gandra hits too damn hard, and the UFC is giving up the perfect layup in his UFC debut.
