Sweden’s title race has reached the stage where every dropped point could echo into the final table. Our Allsvenskan tips for round 28 cover Hammarby’s Friday meeting with Elfsborg and Sirius’s Sunday trip to relegation-threatened Kalmar.
Both title challengers face opponents with very different ambitions: European qualification is still in sight for Elfsborg, while Kalmar are trying to stay clear of danger. We unpack the betting picks, team form and Allsvenskan odds behind a weekend that could shift the championship picture.

Hammarby vs Elfsborg
Friday, November 6, 2026, at 20:00 CEST – 3Arena, Stockholm
- Hammarby vs Elfsborg Tips: Hammarby to Win & Over 2.5 Goals at 1.93 at ibet.
Hammarby is still in the race for the Allsvenskan title with three points behind the league leaders, Sirius. Next up is Elfsborg at home.
Bajen are in great form with four straight wins, beating Malmö 2-1 last weekend and, in the round before, winning at home against Sirius, but even if it looks bright at the moment, they need to keep up the momentum in the last couple of matches.
Elfsborg are fifth in the table and still have a small chance to take the last qualification place for the Conference League. They haven’t lost in their last five matches, with three draws and two wins. Can they continue their unbeaten run?
Recent Meetings and History
Hammarby won the earlier meeting this season, 2-1
Hammarby have been dominating this fixture the last couple of seasons. They have won 4 of the latest 5 meetings, and the last time Elfsborg won in Stockholm was 2021. They usually have a difficult time here.
Looking at the recent meetings, Hammarby’s home form gives them the edge going into this one.
Recent Form
Hammarby
Hammarby have been in the title race more or less since the season started.
They are 2nd place in the table with 55 points from 27 matches, and defensively they are impressive and best in Allsvenskan, with only 22 goals conceded shows how well organised they have been.
Their attacking players have taking turns scoring goals in their recent matches. Paulos Abraham is their top contributor, but Montader Madjed and Victor Lind has also been productive. That´s one of their biggest strengths, having so many options upfront.
Elfsborg
Elfsborg’s season has been solid.
They are fifth with 46 points and have lost only five league matches. However, too many draws have cost them ground in the race for the European places.
Their recent results include a 2-1 win over Örgryte, where Leo Östman was the savior, scoring the winner in the 93rd minute.
Team News
Björn Hedlöf will not play against Elfsborg due to an hip injury.
Elfsborg doesn´t have any inured players
Hammarby vs Elfsborg Betting Prediction
Hammarby have the better form, the stronger defence and a more reliable attack. Henrik Rydström has really made his team produce. I believe that Elfsborg will have a tough time in Stockholm, as in the last couple of years. Hammarby’s attack will make the difference.
My prediction is Hammarby to win and over 2.5 goals at odds of 1.93.
Kalmar vs Sirius
Sunday, November 8, 2026, at 17:30 CEST – Guldfågeln Arena, Kalmar
- Kalmar vs Sirius Tips: Kalmar to Win at 2.28 at ibet.
Sirius have regained top spot; they are now three points ahead of Hammarby in the title race after 27 played rounds, but one loss and the Stockholm club can get level on points, so Andreas Engelmark and co cannot slow down yet; next up is a trip to a Kalmar team fighting to avoid relegation.
Kalmar are 13th, three points above the relegation zone. And there has been some hope lately. In their last four games, they have collected 4 points with 2 losses, 1 win and a draw.
Sirius bounced back from two consecutive defeats by beating bottom club Halmstad 2-0, with Isak Bjerkebo and Joakim Persson on the scoresheet.
Recent Meetings and History
Kalmar have had some problems with Sirius when they have met in the last couple of seasons.
Sirius won 3-2 at home when the teams met in May, while Kalmar’s last league win in this encounter came in September 2024. Sirius have won four of the five latest clashes between the clubs.
In recent years, Sirius have clearly developed in the right direction and are the better team, and now they have a big chance to win their first Allsvenskan title.
Recent Form
Kalmar
If Kalmar can stay up this season, it’s a win. Returning from Superettan to Allsvenskan is really tough, and they still have some breathing space in the relegation battle with three points ahead of Degerfors in 14th place.
Before the last round, where they drew against Mjällby, they had two straight defeats. In those three games, they didn’t score. The last time they scored a goal was when they won away against Degerfors, 19th of October.
As usual for a struggling team, they have problems scoring. Charles Sagoe Jr. is their top goalscorer, with three goals, which shows why they are a bottom team.
Sirius
Sirius’ win in the last round came at a super important moment.
After two straight losses to Hammarby and AIK, they were never in danger in their win over Halmstad and they kept their second clean sheet in five league matches. But without Bjerkebo’s 15 goals and seven assists they wouldn’t be in the position they are.
Team News
For Kalmar, Melker Hallberg will not play since he is injured.
Otso Liimata is out due to injury for Sirius.
Kalmar vs Sirius Betting Prediction
This is Sirius time to shine at Guldfågeln Arena, coming there with Bjerkebo in form. Kalmar is fighting for survival, but I cannot see they are capable of threatening the league leaders.
Prediction: Kalmar to win to the odds of 2.28.
